Charlotte McDonagh, PhD

Charlotte McDonagh is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Raven, with over 25 years of experience discovering and developing biotherapeutics for oncology, hematology, and autoimmune applications. Prior to Raven, she was SVP, Head of Biotherapeutics and Hematology Discovery at Beam Therapeutics, where she led efforts to discover and develop bespoke epitope-specific biotherapeutics that pair with base-edited cell therapies. Prior to Beam, Charlotte was VP and Head of Biotherapeutics at Magenta Therapeutics, where she built and led antibody drug conjugate discovery, engineering, and IND-enabling activities. Earlier in her career, she held roles of increasing responsibility at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals and Seagen, working on bispecific antibodies and antibody drug conjugates, respectively. Charlotte completed postdoctoral research in neuronal sodium channel modulation at the University of Washington and holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Leicester, U.K., and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol, U.K.
