Elizabeth Jochum, PhD

Director, Automation & Robotics

Elizabeth Jochum is the Director of Robotics and Automation within the TechAtlas team at RA Capital Management. Elizabeth’s primary responsibilities are to explore the opportunities and impact of robotics on productivity and labor, with a focus on robotics in healthcare and beyond. Prior to RA Capital, she was an Associate Professor at Aalborg University in Denmark, where she led interdisciplinary research spanning industrial robots, social robots, mobile robots, exoskeletons, and other assistive technologies. Elizabeth’s research focuses on developing creative, value-sensitive, and human-centered solutions to ensure the technologies we build address the real needs of people. Elizabeth holds a BA from Wellesley College and PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder.
