Jeff Kimmel is an Enterprise AI Enablement Lead at RA Capital Management. Prior to RA Capital, Jeff co-founded an AI climate tech startup serving as Chief Technology & AI Officer, where he designed and built an AI platform focused on reducing energy consumption and emissions across large-scale industrial equipment. Partnering with organizations such as the U.S. Department of Energy, he developed and deployed AI-powered solutions that enabled operators to optimize performance, access complex system data through natural language, and drive measurable sustainability outcomes. Prior to this, Jeff held numerous leadership roles across 15+ years of experience in investment management. Serving in roles including CFO, CCO, and Director of IT at a Boston-based hedge fund, Jeff helped to grow assets by more than 6X. He began his career as a systems analyst at a large mutual fund, building a foundation in trading systems and investment technology and automation. Jeff holds a MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
