Senior Director, Strategic Alliances Management

Jennifer C. Koblan is Head of Strategic Alliances within the Blackbird team at Raven. Jennifer’s primary responsibilities are to lead the expansion, development, and implementation of best practices in strategic alliances, external partnerships, and vendor engagement across portfolio companies, with a focus on enabling efficient, high-quality development and data-driven execution. Jennifer has more than 20 years of biopharmaceutical R&D experience, with expertise in clinical development strategy, alliance management, and cross-functional program execution. She previously served as Chief of Staff to the Chief Medical Officer at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, partnering closely with R&D leadership to support portfolio governance, clinical development planning, and organizational effectiveness across development programs. Prior to Ironwood, Jennifer held roles of increasing responsibility at EMD Serono (Merck KGaA), Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, and Merck & Co./Schering-Plough, where she supported global clinical programs from early development through regulatory submission across multiple disease areas, led complex external partnerships, and helped build scalable operating models across multiple therapeutic areas. Jennifer holds a BA and a Master of Human Resource Development from Clemson University.
