Gerald Sewack, PhD

Gerald is a Venture Partner at Raven, focusing on creating and leading new biotech companies, primarily in the Genetic Medicine space. He is currently the President and co-founder of two companies, AdVia and Sintra Therapeutics, that are focused on extrahepatic delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics. Gerald serves as a Board Director for the vaccine company, GIVax, and previously held the same role at Tidal Tx (acquired by Sanofi). He has played roles in the founding of RA portfolio companies, Sionna, Typewriter and Stylus, as well as early investments in PepGen (PEPG), Capstan (acquired by AbbVie) and Interius (acquired by Kite, a Gilead co.). He was the originating Director of the Tech Atlas Group at RA Capital, and a Partner and Director of the Life Sciences Division at Global Prior Art, a Boston-based intellectual property analysis firm. Gerald holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Harvard Medical School.
