Senior Associate, Corporate Development

Julie Gupta is Senior Associate, Corporate Development with the Venture team at RA Capital Management. Her primary responsibilities are to interface closely with pharmaceutical companies to do BD for the RA portfolio as well as help build new companies around pharma assets available for externalization. Prior to RA Capital, Julie was a Life Sciences Investor at General Catalyst, where she diligenced new life sciences investments (majority biotech/​therapeutics companies) and was deeply involved in early-stage portfolio company support. Prior to General Catalyst, Julie was a strategy consultant at Putnam Associates, where she specialized in early-stage biotech corporate strategy. Julie holds a BA in biochemistry from Barnard College of Columbia University and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Michigan.
