Kara Barr is a Senior Director of Talent Intelligence and Strategy at RA Capital Management. Kara brings over two decades of expertise in executive search and operational strategy. She is a specialist in ​“the science of search,” utilizing her background in market research and data analytics to streamline the recruitment process for complex healthcare and life sciences organizations. By prioritizing transparency and collaborative communication, she ensures that both internal teams and external partners are positioned to scale effectively. Prior to RA Capital, Kara held senior roles at LifeSci Partners, The Bowdoin Group, WinterWyman, and Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), where she has built and led executive search teams specializing in the healthcare, consumer and financial sectors. Having spent much of her career analyzing global talent trends, she excels at translating market data into competitive advantages for evolving companies. Kara holds a BA in Economics from Bates College.
