Paul joined Mediar Therapeutics in 2019 as its founding employee and Chief Scientific Officer, where he led the development of novel therapies for fibrotic diseases. Under his leadership, Mediar successfully discovered and advanced three novel molecules into clinical development. Paul brings over two decades of industry expertise from Pfizer, where he held various leadership roles, most recently as COO for Inflammation and Immunology Research. His career spans the full drug development lifecycle, from early target identification bench science through Ph2 clinical studies and executive strategy. A Canadian native, Paul holds a PhD in molecular neuroscience from the Mayo Clinic and a BSc in genetics from the University of Toronto.
