Santiago Acero-Bedoya is an Associate with the TechAtlas team at RA Capital Management. Santiago’s primary responsibilities are to work closely with the Investment Team to understand competitive landscapes, evaluate investment opportunities, and advise portfolio companies on program and pipeline strategy. Prior to RA Capital, Santiago applied large-scale genomic screens to improve cell therapies for oncology as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the New York Genome Center. Santiago also gained experience conducting due diligence and investing in biotech companies through fellowships at Pillar VC, ARCH Venture Partners, and Civilization Ventures. Santiago holds a PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Chicago, where his work focused on a novel regulator of dendritic cell activation in the context of anti-tumor immunity, and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Otterbein University.
